Electric bikes are growing up

Image

Brammo has got a hot one on their hands with the Brammo Enertia Electric Motorcycle. She's be featured on FastCompany, T3, Uncrate, CNN Money and the Robb Report's Supreme Green Machines (April '08) and now she's HERE on tiny, little EVpulse.

If you want one of the special edition, serialized, limited production, hand-built carbon fiber versions you can drop about $8000 (for the deposit) and the remainder of the $14,995 upon delivery (Q3 2008).

If you want to save a few shillings, you can order one (no deposit required) to be delivered 2nd half of 2008 for $11,995. It may not be made of the same materials or with the same amout of love and care... but you can buy a lot of electricity for $3000.00

This baby uses six Lithium Phosphate battery modules that will take you from 0 - 30 in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 50 mph and a range of 45 miles on a single 3-hour charge! You might be able to commute to work with those sorts of numbers... expcept for the $15k part. ;)

We'll see if we can get our hands on one to show you how she rides. If you can't wait that long then you can just check out THIS video.
